Graduation....

My friend needed a few invites for her daughter's grad party...her shool colors are black and gold--luckily I had one sheet of Summer Sun left!

I made the card double sided instead of a fold out card, since I thought that would be easier to had out to friends....

Layout look familiar??

Quick note cards....

I wanted to have some note cards on hand to send to teachers and friends instead of sending a whole card so I whipped up some plain note cards (using retired paper)...

I have decided to make up some sets of these and package them in s small clear box to give as gifts...

I used the Kind Thoughts set and Gable Green....

Apple Blossom thanks

This color combo is straight out of the Color Coach...I love how the newly redesigned Coach (as of last year) is much easier to use then the spinning circle one...the flowers are cut out and popped up with dimensionals...I like how that one hangs over the top edge...

Christmas in June?

Saw this design somewhere and thought I'd give it a go...the striped paper is not SU! but it did match with SU! colors....

I thought this card would be a really simple card to mass produce for a holiday card...

For Sale

Lots of people have been asking me if the things I make can be purchased and I have to say YES!  I do make a lot of things to give away as gifts, but I also make things for you to give as gifts.  I often make things special order (meaning you can tell me what colors and styles you specifically want) but I also keep ready made gifts on hand.  So if you ever are in need of a quick gift or card for that special occasion, just shoot me an email and I can get it to you ASAP!  I also make invites for any kind of party (big or small) so keep me in mind for your next get-together.
Here is an idea of what my items would cost:
Cards $1-$3
Covered Notepads (various sizes) $4-$7
Decorated Boxes filled with 8 cards $10-$15
Boxed Notecards $5-$8
Card Purses filled with 4 cards $12

Please contact me with any questions you may have...

Baby Buggy

I wanted o make some non-traditional baby cards--good for either sex and this is what I came up with...

I used my Tasteful Trims die to make the rick-rack..I saw someone do this with actual grosgrain ribbon but when I tried it the ribbon just frayed...so next time I will probably put some double-sided tape on the ribbon before sending it through the Big Shot...I'll let you know how it works...

The dotted circle is from Thanks So Much (retired) as is the graduate stamp...

My 2nd favorite layout!

Here's another great layout I've been playing with...it's great for rectangular images...this card is for my niece who is turning 14 this summer (not sure if you can see the paper-pieced 1 and 4)...

The background is embossed with the flower embossing folder...

Elegant Eggplant, Rose Red, Baja Breeze (took this color combo right off the Color Coach!)

Again??!!!

I told you that you can use this layout for any occasion!

This little snowman is retired (actually he is from one of my very first stamp sets)...I paper-pieced the snowman and the ornaments for some color and dimension (hard to see)...he's actually stamped on the Very Vanilla circle and then the white snowman is trimmed and popped up along with the ornaments...

The D/S paper is retired SAB...

Love this layout!

My newest obsession is layouts!  I believe if you find a great layout, you can apply it to any occasion and stamp set.  I found this one on Krista's Stampin' Spot...

The patterned paper is 4 x 5 1/2...the top layer is 4 1/4 x 3 and is popped up with dimensionals...the top layer can be stamped or embossed...here I stamped with the French Script background stamp...the white circle is 1 3/4...the cut out circle is 2 1/2 punched slightly off center...

I think this would make a great Get Well, Sympathy, Birthday and Thank you card...wait till you see the other cards I made with this layout!

Tropical Gift set

I finally got around to making one of those adorable notepads in the SU! clear stamp case...it was so quick and easy (except I had to trim down the notepad to fit into the case...I even added a patterned paper envelope in the inside (using my Coluzzle template) for coupon or receipts...

I like the layout so much (of the card) I decided to put it as the cover of the notepad...

Feeling a little chilly?

Are these cards not perfect? How cute and easy?  I used the snowflake long strip diecut....I carefully cut some dimensionals to pop up the middle snowflakes...and a center rhinestone doesn't hurt!

When it rains, there's always a...

rainbow!  It is absolutely pouring here!  And what better way to celebrate the rain than with a beautiful rainbow...the first photo is my card along with my inspiration card...I used the tiny flower punch instead of butterflies...the clouds are the icing from the cupcake punch!

Great tip--I took the oval Coluzzle shape and lightly scored the base paper so I could have the correct arch for the arc of the rainbow...

Aahhhh....no more tropical weather but...

...another tropical card!  These are actually Father's Day cards--aren't they great?  And so simple!

Just stamp the leaf/frond on the Old Olive piece in same ink color, emboss a long scrap for the accent piece, stamp the image and tie a rope and done!

Soft Suede, Old Olive, Whisper White (but I should have used Confetti or Naturals White) Crumb Cake

Ugh! This darn tropical weather!

The kids have ANOTHER early dismissal!  Is it really that hot out?  Plus their school has air condition!  When I went to school we just had those huge metal fans blowing air in the hallways!  They are cutting into my stamping time!  OK, enough complaining....

I love that this card is a 'male' card...look at the detail on the embossed piece...I just lightly sponged the embossed piece with some Chocolate Chip ink...very lightly!  The 'ribbon' is a piece of hemp rope that I had-sitting around the house, not my stamping room-I untwisted it and wrapped it around the center band...

Feeling a little tropical?

It's supposed to get super hot here today (kids even have early dismissal-ugh!)  I purchased this set with the matching D/S paper last year with the intention of having a Luau (but that ever happened!)

I used 2 colors of markers to add some dimension the palm trees...

Another notepad...

Here's another notepad...I actually changed the pencil to an RSVP pen...those are the kind that you can remove the end and roll a small piece of D/S paper into it...you can get them at Staples...

Notepads...

Here is one of the (several) notepads that I am making for end of year gifts...I got the pattern and the pads from Papertreyink.com...the back even has a little pocket for  coupons...I thought this set (retired from last year) was a great end of year set!

Sleddin' Snowman!

I've been trying to catch up on my scrapbooking (but I have to be super motivated because I enjoy making cards sooo much more...but when I saw this adorable punch art snowman I just knew that I had to put him on a page...he's made with circle punches primarily...the legs are Modern Label punches (as well as the boots...the mitten are flowers that I ran thought an embossing folder....

Gift Card Holder

My niece is graduating this year so I needed a gift card holder (because what do you get a 14 year old but money?)  Since I was playing around with the owl punch, I decided to make this gift card holder for her...

It uses the Two Tag Die...

Wait till you see the adorable invitation I made with this gift card holder!

Layout look familiar?

My (new) stamping philosophy is when you find something that works stick with it...a great layout can be transformed into hundreds of different cards...

I used this layout again (from the pine cone male Get Well/birthday card)...instead it is a very cute Owl Graduation card...the striped paper is not SU!, but you can use any paper for your color inspiration...

Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Brocade Blue, Chocolate Chip (for owl) Whisper White
