I've had this diecut/embossing folder duo forever, so I decided to break it out...I didn't know how to color the leaf so I just smooshed a bunch of colors onto the paper with daubers...then stamped with woodgrain background...the background behind the leaf is embossed with the strips folder--but horizontally...Kate Deignanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09799905104487304754noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6112119422823462477.post-87050367600652846162012-10-28T05:52:00.002-07:002012-10-28T05:52:40.392-07:00Shadow Birthday<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I saw a version of this card on Dawn Olchefske's blog...she always has great stuff...this card uses the technique of inking an embossing folder...Dawn has a great video that makes it sooooo simple....and she had a great tip to ink up the entire folder and run 2 pieces of paper through at one time...the tope picture shows the 2 different papers (one innie and one outtie!) <br />

It was made eons ago using a technique called "spotlighting"...the truck image was stamped 2x....once on the Very Vanilla as the focal image and again on a scrap of Very Vanilla that was colored in and punched with a 1 3/8 circle punch...that circle was then adhered to the main image...pretty cool, huh?Kate Deignanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09799905104487304754noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6112119422823462477.post-30074088586929512282012-10-23T05:40:00.002-07:002012-10-23T05:40:11.882-07:00A few more....<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I finally went through my old bin of SU! demo things (I'm still a demo but just a hobbiest, now)...it's been sitting in my attic, collecting dust. As most of the things were old, I did manage to salvage a few card fronts. I just popped them on a card base and plan to use them soon.
