Don't worry...the beach days are coming!
I know it doesn't feel like sunny days will ever come...but hold on! I have hope that the sun will one day shine again! I thought this was a great card to get in the spirit...love the sunny colors!

Baby Buggy Punch
I'm a little sick of Easter so I decided to go back to one of my 'passions'--punch art! Here are 2 versions of the same card, using the scallop circle and scallop square to make this adorable baby carriage...I used the In Color Bermuda Bay and some D/S paper from the FREE Sale-a-bration paper pack....

Faux Buttons
Have a few hours to try a new technique? Haha! Only joking, but it is true that this one takes some time....a few months ago, my fellow demonstrator, Cheryl Robinson, showed me how to make faux buttons out of Designer Series paper....and then I saw this sample in the exclusive magazine that SU! sends to all it's demos...this one uses 1/2 inch circles and doesn't cover the top with Crystal Effects (to make a glossy button like Cheryl did--she also used a larger circle punch) I changed up the orientation of the card and changed the ribbon....basically, you have to punch out 6 circles for each button you want to make, glue together with Crystal Effects and allow to dry...then punch 2 button holes in each with the Crop-a-dile...lots of fun, but not a quick card!

Hoppy Easter Scrapbook Page

Have a Beary Hoppy Easter!
I am doing the Woodbridge Middle School Crop this Saturday and I will have these Build-a-Bear bears as one of my Make-n-Takes....the 'Hoppy' diecut that has the bunny ears and the basket also cuts out one egg....but who has time to run that die through for all those eggs??? So I took the Daisy punch and cut my eggs from that! And it even made it easier to attach the 'eggs' to the basket! Check back Wednesday for a scrapbook page I made using these adorable bears!

Reverse Diecut
Here is a set of note cards I made for a new customer who came over for a little stamping class...I got the idea for this card from Mary Fish's blog (www.stampinpretty.com)...the original card was in Chocolate Chip with the Old Olive Leaf and ribbon...I thought it was such a great card that I changed up the colors...I used the Little Leaves diecut, but used the part I usually throw out! Just pop it up with some dimensionals and layer on a different colored piece of card stock (I think I'm going to have to try to layer it on some Designer Series Paper??!!)....I'm going to have to try this with some other diecuts like flowers and hearts! I also embossed the flap of the envelopes! What a nice touch!

Makin' O' the Green!
Here's my St. Pat's card for this year (to be honest, I almost forgot--I was busy making Easter stuff!)...the main image in not Stampin' Up!, but the wheeled background on the Glorious Green strip is the Jumbo wheel "Pinch Me"...and of course, that scallop edge punch! Love it! Wait till you see the card my mom sent! I will post that asap!

So Sweet (and scallopy) Easter Basket!
I found this adorable mini easter basket on Lisa Freeman's blog...and it's so simple that you could whip up several of them for kiddie gifts or table settings in no time! Just take the large scallop square diecut from Sizzix and cut out a square from some Designer series Paper and score each side at the 3rd scallop from the edge....then cut the score lines on only two opposite sides...and form your box! Then take a strip of coordinating paper (measuring about 6 x 3/4 inches) and attach as the handle with some brads....decorate the front (here I used that yummy Chocolate Bunny) and fill...I was able to fit 4 chocolate Easter coins inside, but you can fill with jelly beans, or about 5 Hershey's Kisses....anything! Isn't this just too cute and easy??!!

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers!
Here's a little something different...a scrapbook page....even though I'm absolutley in love with making cards, I do scrapbook! It's actually how I got interested in this whole stamping thing...here's a page from last spring...I used the Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper, chipboard flowers, Circle Circus Stamp set and the Little Leaves Sizzlet to make this Flower page...The colors featured are Taken with Teal, Rose Red and Kraft with some Soft Suede thrown in....

Covered Notepads
I found the pattern for the pen holder at nicoleheady.typepad.com and I just thought it was so adorable...I had to try it...I had some notebooks that I picked up really cheap and the pens so I had all the ingredients to make these notepads! I even stuck a small strip of matching Designer Series paper into the pen barrel to make a great set! I will be selling these at an upcoming crop and craft fair....

Build-a-Bear Invite
As promised, here is the invite for my daughter's birthday party...all the patterned paper is from the new Sweet Pea Designer Series pack--it is so big and has so many great patterns! I just got my box of goodies from SU! (delayed because of all this crappy weather!) so I should have more samples by the end of this week!

Swirly Cupcake!
I know you've seen a version of this card several times before, but when I need to make some birthday cards--it is my go-to card! It's so easy and great for any age or sex.....This time I took a hint from my downline Evelyn and made the icing part swirly and sparkly! I embossed the icing with a Cuttlebug folder and then sprayed on some shimmery paint watered down with alcohol--it makes it super nice! The paper is from the new Designer Series paper, Sweet Pea....
