I was asked to make some note card sets for the dance apparel store, The Dressing Room, in Edison, NJ.  Here's one of the sets I designed exclusively for them...

Poppy Parade wishes

My friend asked me to make her a card for a coworker who was leaving her job...so I pulled out an oldie-but-a-goodie and whipped it up in Poppy Parade...the second photo shows how I added some teeny punches flowers...

BUBBLE GUM LOVE...

I was asked to make a 'campy' Valentine for a friend's fiance...this one says "I chews you' on the inside...

I used an acetate sheet as the 'glass' part of the bubble gum machine...hard to see in the photo...

Merry Christmas, a little late...

I was a little delinquent this year in making a few gifts for my fellow dance studio friends, so in the week between Christmas and New Year's I was able to catch up and whip up some of these cute gifts...

I got the idea and full directions from Mary Fish...she made the cover from a clear window sheet, but as I did not have that, I just made mine from card stock...each box holds 4 cards and envelopes (3 x 3) and 3 Hershey's nuggets covered in D/S paper...

I used up some of my retired SAB paper and accents from last year...

Deja vu?

I know I have done this card before, but I had a request for 2 of them so I changed it up just a little...I used the scalloped heart die to layer on the back of the stamped heart and then I added some teeny pearls along the scalloped border....I think I like this version better!

Holiday Thank You...

My friend asked me to make her some Christmas Thank You cards...here's the first of 2 that I made...this is a simple one layer card...I used the 'Peaceful Wishes' set...

I stamped the leaf in Old Olive and then kept stamping several times without re-inking...added some red glitter berries and the sentiment...and done...easy-peasy!

Happy Birthday, Ballerina!

My baby is turning 4 this Thursday...I can't believe I just said that!  Here are the mini Hershey bars we gave out at her Princess Ballerina class...the stamp is non-SU! but the paper and inks are SU! Melon Mambo and Pink Pirohette...they were a big hit!

Wedding gown box...

I had a playdate with my friend, Everlyn (check out her blog in my blog list)...and she had some really cool new jumbo diecuts...she let me cut out this one and make a bridal favor...it was super simple and can really be dressed up with glitter and pearls (although I opted to keep my simple)...

I used my friend, Ada's up coming wedding color theme for the tag...the box could probably hold 6-7 kisses, or even some Hershey's nuggets...or maybe even a little baggie of those Jordan almonds...

You could even make the dress in the actual color of the wedding, instead of white...what about a Sweet Sixteen favor? or a little girl's birthday party favor.....got you thinkin', huh?

Too cute!

I'm making some samples for an upcoming vendor show and I just had to make this little baby buggy!

It uses the scallop circle diecut (you just have to make sure you leave enough of the seam to allow the card to fold)...there isn't too much room inside for a lot of info, but if you typed something on the computer, it would fit perfectly!  This would make a cute shower invite, also...

Hint:  I punched the lace border THEN glued the hearts on to get they correct width THEN trimmed the straight edge...(took me a while to figure that out!)...the back has wheels to allow the card to stand, but I only put one solid white circle, as not to waste...


Bashful Blue, Whisper White

I know I'm always late...

I should be making these things to give to teachers on the FIRST day of school, but I never do, so these will have to wait till the end!

I saw a version of this as a wrapper on a Hershey bar and decided to translate it into a card...the card is made from 12 x 12 cardstock so you can get 4 our of them...and they fit in a standard issue envelope...

To get the lined pencil part I punched with edge with the scallop border punch and used my scoring  tool to score the lines...the silver 'metal' bad is a piece of sliver cardstock run through the Houndstooth embossing folder...the pencil point it just a 3/4 in black circle glued on and trimmed...

Here's the 4th in my card assortment....I made a box of 8, 2 of each style for only $13!  That's only $1.67 a card!

Inspired note card

Here is a sample of a set of note cards I made using my new 'birthday' set from SU! (remember they gave me 15% discount on one item for my b'day?)

The set is called 'Inspired by Nature'...it's so versatile...I just markered up the stamp and set it on a piece of Confetti White card stock...I added some highlights to the Crushed Curry petals with some More Mustard and some Early Expresso highlights the Soft Suede center of the flower....Old Olive for the leaves...

Quick and easy....

I made some quick note cards to sell at an upcoming vendor fair...just embossed some flowers on Pale Plum card stock with clear embossing powder and Pale Plum craft ink...

Frilly Covered notepads

Here are some covered notepads I've been making as gifts...very simple to do...just spend a half hour punching strips of cardstock with various edge punches and then glue them down in random patterns....two of the pads are in Pale Plum, but my favorite one is done Naturals Cream (the one with the pink flower)


The chipboard letters and flowers are covered in Craft ink (craft ink offers a much better color)   The 'd' notepad has a heated ribbon rose....

Makes a great graduation or birthday gift, even Mother's Day....
