Close but....

Several weeks back, I was trying to come up with a Make-n-Take for my demo group's monthly meeting so I challenged myself to use a stamp set that I haven't touched in a while...this card didn't make the cut (along with several others--but at least I built up my card reserve!)....so here's one....I used the Pick a Petal set...the center of the flower is just one of the petals stamped on Daffodil Delight and trimmed to look like the center....I hand drew the stem....

Sophisticated sympathy...

Unfortunately I needed 2 sympathy cards very unexpectedly and decided to work with the Thoughts and Prayers set....don't think you can see it in the photo but I stamped the tree in Soft Suede and then took my Early Expresso marker and inked the tree trunk...

Too cute chick!

Isn't she cute?  It's a she, of course, cuz she has a pink egg, right?!  I stamped the background strips with the circle dots from this stamp set (A Good Egg) in Versamark....then stamped the chick 3 times--once on the white circle, once in yellow for the chick and once on the pink striped paper...cut out and assembled and done!  Love it!

What exactly do you do?

I've been getting that question a lot lately...and that's not an easy question to answer...so here goes....
   *  I can come to your home and show your friends and family how to make beautiful handmade cards and gifts, and show you how to turn your favorite photos into wonderful scrapbooks
   *  I can come to your home and show you and your friends how to make a specific item (like a mini class)
  *  I can make custom invitations, party favors, and gifts for your special occasion
  *  I can turn your pile of photos into a scrapbook that you will cherish for years to come
  *  I can do kids' birthday parties!  Usually for older kids (like 8 and above)...we make a little project, and the goodie bag...you provide the cake!
  *  I can make gifts...for teachers, grandparents, those hard to buy for people...a gift for a special occasions like a wedding anniversary or milestone birthday

Check out my gifts section (under Labels) so you can see some of my samples.....

Cute egg...

I found the tutorial for this cute little egg card on Jackie Topa's blog...it uses the scallop oval die...and is super easy to make....but alittle on the small side....maybe I could stick a little chocolate bar inside and give out for Easter....hmmm......

Brenda's swap...

My fellow demo and friend is hosting a swap and here is my card....I used the Punch Potpourri Hostess set...Brenda's theme was a great one...create a card that uses one ink per stamp (I only used Basic Black for stamping and River Rock for sponging) and allows her to use it for one of her classes....

Doh!

Here's a card I decided to make for our monthly Demo meeting this coming Monday (for our Make-n-Take) but then I read on someone else's blog that the bunny stamp is only available as a digital image...ugh!...now I have to design another card!...but I still love this one....

The grass and the flowers are from the Vintage Vogue set....the bunny is embossed with clear embossing powder...

Rich Razzleberry, Early Expresso, Pretty In Pink (I got this color combo from the color coach) ....the grass is Wild Wasabi....

I do.....

Not the best photos....but still really beautiful!  I used the embossing folder to make the swirls on the cakes sides and top....and used the ribbon punch (and cut in half) for the icing along the bottom.....wouldn't this make an adorable little favor for a wedding shower?

My newest addiction!

Look at all the bling around the cake!
I'm so addicted to making these adorable little cakes made from battery operated tealights!  This was my first one and I'm now onto my 5th!  The scallop circle punch is the perfect size for the icing (just bend the sides down) and the plate!  Add whatever embellishment you want!  I added some little tiny flowers (make sure you emboss them--like I did for the previous flower card--for some added dimension!)  Wait till you see the wedding cake I made!
Punched 2 holes to allow for turning it on and off

Non-traditional Valentine....

Not totally in love with this color combo, but I do love the stamp set!   Not even too hip on the layout, but it is a CASE from a SU! publication...I added some white gel pen to the petals on one of the hearts and the dots only on the other...added some Crystal Effects, too...Used More Mustard ink on the Daffodil piece to stamp the 'Love'....

Regal Rose, Delightful Daffodil, Tempting Turquoise, and a tiny strip of Old Olive (under the white ribbon)
