Baby, it's cold outside!

Here's 2 versions of an adorable snowman made from the Top Note Die....this may end up being my Christmas card next year, since it's really easy to make...just cut out one white Top Note for the face and one for the hat (then cut in half and make 2 cards at the same time!)...make the hat band form a strip of paper 1 1/2 x 5 inches and round the corners with a corner rounder...use circle punches for the face and free-hand cut a piece of 'carrot' for the nose! Too Cute!

Pinky Trendy Tees!

I decided to get this set, Trendy Trees, since it coordinated with the new Designer Series JUMBO pack, Sweet Pea...I just love having a HUGE pad of 12 x 12 DOUBLE-SIDED paper to play with! At first, I wasn't too hip on the set but then I started playing with it...and then, BAM! I'm in love! Wait till you see the cards I made with this set and the Stamp-a-ma-jig! (yes, I have owned this tool since I became a demo six years ago and never used it--now I can't imagine living without it!)

I'm so excited!!!!

I got my box of goodies last week...and spent a few days playing! I can't wait to show you what I got! The house card uses the Sale-a-bration set, Good Neighbors, and the coordinating Designer Series paper and the new Scallop Trim border punch (all 3 were products I received free for making a purchase of $50 or more...I purchased the set in the clear set option and lining up the roof with the house was a breeze! The butterfly card was a simple and easy cards that used the new Embosslit Beautiful Wings...it die cuts and embosses 5 butterflies in one pass of the Big Shot/Cuttlebug....Wait till you see my next sample with the butterflies! I even impressed myself!

Two totally unrelated samples!

Here's two samples that I wanted to share with you....the baby card is another sample from the Goody, Goody Gumdrop Hostess set...it was really simple when you pair it with some Designer Series paper....the other 2 cards were 'quicky' cards...I had these metal words FOREVER (I picked them up somewhere cuz they were a good deal--but when you don't use them for 2 years, they are not such 'great deals'!!)...I took some scraps of Designer Series paper and some ribbon...and made 2 cards in no time!

Happy Egg-ster!

I went glitter-crazy with these Easter cards! I used the embossing folders to create the texture on the Certainly Celery....some Heat-n-Stick powder and Dazzling Diamonds on the egg...and some flower brads that I got from Michael's....I posted a close up of the glitter egg...I hope you can see it....

Color Inspiration

I've been getting a ton of catalogs, and instead for just recycling them, I decided to find some color combos in them...this card (using The More the Merrier Hostess set) uses the colors form the top sheet set...Pixie Pink, Pink Passion, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie....a jumbo Heart Eyelet (retired for SU!) acts as a cherry for one of the cupcakes....

A Rose is a rose....

I skipped right over Valentine's Day and Easter and jumped right onto Mother's Day....I have a lot of special women in my life that I believe should be honored at least once a year....so I make lots of Mother's Day cards every year....this card uses the rose image fro the Echoes of Kindness hostess set from last year....stayed tune for 2 more samples from this set....

Last, but not least...

Here's the third sample I made from the retired set, Goody Goody Gumdrops....The original version of this card (that I cased) used Designer Series paper for the middle strip, but since I didn't have anything that matched , I made my own using the cherry stamp from the set....I wasn't too hot on the color combo initially, but it's grown on me....Kraft, Old Olive and Real Red....

Definitely Stamper's Meeting

Last night I attended my monthly demo meeting...it's always a great time and I always get fresh ideas....here is the Make-n-Take I designed for the evening...it is a take on a previous card for my Dad's birthday, but I changed the sentiment to 'Father's Day' and the colors to Night of Navy and Bordering Blue....

Goody, Goody Flowers!

Here's another samples from the retired set "Goody Goody Gumdrops"....I used the striped Old Olive ribbon to add some pattern, and I don't think you can see it in the photo but a drop of Crystal Effects in the center of each flower to add some dimension...I actually just mailed this card to my friend who got a new job...I just stamped 'Congratulations' on the front...it's great to have a bunch of generic cards laying around so you can sent one out in a jiffy!

Whoo's thinking of you?

I decided to pull out some retired stamp sets (this card comes from the Hostess set-Goody Goody Gumdrops) I needed to make some everyday cards that could double as thank yous....2 more to follow...stay tuned....

Happy Birthday, Pat(s)!

Here's 2 cards I made for 2 boys who have birthdays this month (and who are both named Patrick!) It's so easy to make a whole bunch of cards when you make your own Designer Paper...just stamp images randomly all over some Whisper White paper and add a small sentiment and you've got a quick card! Use a whole 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock and you've got 4 cards in no time flat!

Time to Sale-a-brate! (Kind of!)

I know you've seen a very similar version of this card before, but I just love it! The Medallion stamp really makes a splash when you emboss it...here I used Close to Cocoa Craft Ink with clear embossing powder....just a reminder, Sale-a-bration starts today! And as always, place any order with me and I'll pay your Shipping and Handling (10% savings) Please email me directly instead of ordering through my website so you can get the savings. I had every intention of having lots of samples to post using the new sets from the Occasions Mini and Sale-a-bration cattys, but due to an unforseen flooded basement and subsequent $10,000 waterproofing job, I had to postpone my order for a bit....so stay tuned for some samples in the hopefully near future!

OK, OK! Just one more....

I know I said I was sick of Christmas, but I just had to post this last card I made....I used a piece of chipboard cut into a triangle shape and placed it into the Petals embossing folder and then ran it through my Cuttlebug...the only part of the cardfront that was embossed with the design was the triangle shape...then I took a gold paint pen and highlighted the flower centers and layered it on some paper...maybe this will be my Christmas card for next year????!!!!
