Pretty Posie!

I just love really simple cards!  And I love this new Hostess set, 'Punched Posies'!  And just look at the embossed strip from the new wallpaper folder!

I stamped the large flower in craft ink (i just thought the color of the ink matched better with the paper than the Clasic ink) popped up the center of the flower for some dimension...and added a simple greeting for the bottom....

Here is the other version of the previous card with the background embossed with the poinsettia embossing folder...

I think I like this version better!

Christmas in July....

I wanted to to a few cards for a "Christmas in July" theme, but never got around to making a lot of cards...so here's my start....love this 'Gifts of Christmas' dove....

White card base, Handsome Hunter and my new FAVORITE color--Cherry Cobbler (it is such a nice red)....I inked up the entire stamp in Handsome Hunter...took a dampened Q-Tip and removed the green ink from the berries and the pointsettias....re-colored them with the Cherry Cobbler marker...stamped the dove in Going Grey on a separate sheet of Whisper White, cut out and popped up with some dimensionals....

I will post tomorrow another version with a textured background....

Hungry, anyone?

Aren't these cards adorable?  I'm not sure which position I like the hamburger to be in--straight or angled, but either way--they are too cute!  Made these for my sister-in-law....she's always getting gifts at her summer BBQ's and needed a few thank you's...wouldn't these make cute invites?

Little Leaves Galore!

I just LOVE the Little Leaves die!  Here's a card I cased from somewhere (sorry, I never remember where!)....I think it is such a classy card...

Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, and Early Expresso as the base....(the base squares for the leaves are 1 /34 x 1 3/4)

Pina Coladas, anyone?

Finally got to play with this set from the summer mini--Tropical Party...the Chocate Chip strip on the bottom is embossed with the new Lattice folder (even though you can't see it in the photo)...used the words (and stamps for the card with all the different drinks) from the set 'Cheers to You"--they really go great together!  Punched out some little flowers to fill in the dead space above the words--looks like a flower lei, right?  As I'm writing this, I should have added some Crystal Effects to the drinks...off I go!

Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip (So Saffron striped ribbon)....assorted markers for coloring....

Sunny Sunflowers!

Here's the sunflower card, as promised...one version is just on Crumb Cake cardstock...the other is layered on a Handsome Hunter card...Summer Sun and Garden green round at the line-up....I'm thinking red poinsettias with gold brad as the centers for Christmas....

Happy Flowers!

Okay--first things first!  Yes, I am extremely grateful that #1-I have a craft room (in my old condo, i was my kitchen table) and #2-that it has plenty of natural sun...but here's the thing...when you are sweating all over the card you are trying to make, it' not a pretty sight!  LOL!  So thanks for your comments.....

I wanted to get back to stamping, but all I seem to be using are my punches (but I am a punch-a-holic, you know!)...here I used some nice, retired summery colors--YoYo Yellow, Green Galore, Lavender Lace, and Pink Passion...I stamped some polka dots on them with white Staz On...used the Little Leaves diecut (don't you just love it--I might just have to get another one so I can make lots of leaves at one time!....I rounded one corner of the card for a little added style...

I love card that can be used for any occasion, like these...wait till you see my sunflower card!  I'm also thinking poinsettias!!!

Okay! I'm Back!

I've been slacking in the stamping department, because I was waiting to put up my new blinds...the room is in the front of the house and gets intense sun that makes it impossible to sit in there....so yesterday, we sent the kids to Gram's house and I put up 8 blinds!  ....and the cleaned and organized the room--and that led to some creativity!  My first sample uses Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, and Ruby Red, the new large scallop punch and the original smaller one...I cut the petals at each scallop and added a button for the center...one card uses the corduroy brads and the other used some regular buttons....and of course the dot embossing folder....Oh!  and the words are from the new Level 3 word set!  It has some great sayings!

I love this set!  Yummy cones in an Ice Cream Parlor!  The word window and scallop edge punches make the awning from Pixie Pink and Whisper White...

Could it get any hotter???!!!!

With this sweltering heat (and my craft room in the front of my house-sometimes in direct sunlight!) I'm finding it hard to stamp...but I whipped up some chilly ice cream cards today....this one is a case of one I saw in Bold Bright colors, but I changed it to lighter shades....Apricot Appeal, Pretty In Pink, Barely Banana, Gable Green and the bowl is Sahara Sand....I embossed the backgrounds with 2 different folders--still not sure which one I like better....OH!  and I used craft ink and iridescent ice embossing powder on the scoops--sorry the camera doesn't pick it up!

Still trying....

Still trying to use up that Sweet Pea paper!  Saw this card originally in Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy and thought it would work in Taken with Teal and Night of Navy (and Very Vanilla)...I just love this layout, too!  I've used it before with the retired set 'So Much'....also added the 'Little Leaves' diecut leaf....
