It's that time of year again....
...when I make myself crazy making little treats for all my kids' classes....this year we decided on FunDip...I put them in a little matchbook cover...
To make your own, just mearure your treats width and add 1/4 inch...measure the length and double (noting the score line) and add 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch for the small flap at the bottom...

Cupid Valentine....
Ever like just one single stamp from a large stamp set? I always find that that happens to me...I like the cupid stamp from the new set P.S. I love You, but it is a set of 15 stamps...and I have enough Valentine stamps already!
I found this little guy in the $1.50 stamp bin at Michaels and put him to good use...I saw this layout on Artfeltimpressions and loved it! I still like the SU! cupid stamp better, but this is a good substitute...
I cut the little tail in the black piece with the 1 1/4 in square (at an angle)
Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Whisper White

Poppy Parade wishes
My friend asked me to make her a card for a coworker who was leaving her job...so I pulled out an oldie-but-a-goodie and whipped it up in Poppy Parade...the second photo shows how I added some teeny punches flowers...

Simple tree
Saw this card on Artfeltimpressions blog and loved the simplicity...the Crumb Cake piece is actually 2 parts--a strip and the label punch--the separation is hidden by the ribbon...
I used the new striped folder on the background piece...

Snowflakes...
I saw this card done in Basic Gray, Basic Black and Whisper White and thought it looked so nice, but when I went to actually make it, I didn't like how it was looking...
So I changed it to Night of Navy...I made a gold and silver (ribbon) version...I think I like the silver one better...

Getting it right....
I'm not sure I did....get it right...???...I love this layout from Krista Fenton and I saw on Dawn Olchefske's blog a card using a black reindeer image and Very Vanilla and Confetti Cream...so I combined both...I embossed 'Dasher' with some black embossing powder...
I like the cards, but wasn't wowed...maybe I'll try this combo again....

Which color do I choose?
I came across this card on Darlenedesigns.com and had to make it, because I loved the color combo...but when I printed the photo, my printer was running out of ink , so the colors came out much lighter....and I think I liked those colors better! So here are both cards, one as the original, and one as the lighter version...
Night of Navy, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip (ribbon)
Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzaz (D/S paper)

Hubby valentine...
...or not....
I made this card with my hubby in mind, but then I found a little $1 stamp at Michael's that would make a better card (will post soon!)
Still like this one, though...pretty simply layout so it's more masculine...I highlighted the definition by stamping it twice...once on the white then again on Regal Rose, cutting out the words 'valentine' and 'you'...

Finally....
...a timely card! And you can actually CASE me! Ha Ha!
It's about time that I post some cards that can inspire you...
This stamp may be retired, but you can really switch out the heart for another type of heart...I cut the Pretty In Pink circle big enough to surround my image, and moved it off to the side of the card...the Very Vanilla border around the pink circle is actually made up of little hearts glued to the back of the circle...it makes for a cute scallop! The Cherry Cobbler background is embossed in the Big Shot...

BUBBLE GUM LOVE...
I was asked to make a 'campy' Valentine for a friend's fiance...this one says "I chews you' on the inside...
I used an acetate sheet as the 'glass' part of the bubble gum machine...hard to see in the photo...

Merry Christmas, a little late...
I was a little delinquent this year in making a few gifts for my fellow dance studio friends, so in the week between Christmas and New Year's I was able to catch up and whip up some of these cute gifts...
I got the idea and full directions from Mary Fish...she made the cover from a clear window sheet, but as I did not have that, I just made mine from card stock...each box holds 4 cards and envelopes (3 x 3) and 3 Hershey's nuggets covered in D/S paper...
I used up some of my retired SAB paper and accents from last year...

Getting a head start...
I always send out lots of Mother's Day cards to celebrate all the terrific women in my life...so I need to get started on making some...this one was made for my friend, Ada's mom, who likes blue...
I water-colored the flowers and stems and added some pearls to the center flower....I wish I had enough pearls to do all 3 flowers, but I think just adding it to the one is a nice touch!
Pear Pizzaz, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouhette, Whisper White

Deja vu?
I know I have done this card before, but I had a request for 2 of them so I changed it up just a little...I used the scalloped heart die to layer on the back of the stamped heart and then I added some teeny pearls along the scalloped border....I think I like this version better!

In Color sprig of flowers
I needed to make some cards as a thank you gift for my hubby's co-worker...I decided to use some of the In Colors (that I've been hoarding!) They are so spring-y!...I got this layout from Krista Fenton....love the little sentiment on the top left!

Happy Birthday, Mom!
Here's the card I made for my Mom's birthday next week (hopefully she has already gotten it in the mail and I haven't ruined the surprise!) It is a similar version of the baby card I posted a few days ago with the butterflies...the original version of this card was a holiday card, but I thought it would be perfect as a winter birthday card...

Pretty Flower
I saw this layout (more importantly, the little circles and the scallop border) and knew I had to make this card...
I used the little circle from the 3 pack of mini punches in River Rock to line up along the bottom of the flower image...I also stamped a flower image on the Perfect Plum panel, then ran it through the Big Shot in the Lattice folder to add double the texture...a little linen thread wrapped around the little circle edge adds some more texture...

Top Note Elf shoes....
Just as last year, I always find such nice holiday cards that people post right after the holiday season...knowing myself, I would print out the samples, file them away and then have to scramble next November to make 60 or so Christmas cards...last January and February I was somewhat smart...I made about 40 Holiday cards that were ready this year to send out (and what a pleasure it was not to rush)...I did have to make some cards, but I wasn't overwhelmed...
So this year I plan on doing the same thing...so here's the first card...these are the cutest elf shoes ever! There is a video link and full directions on Inking Idaho;s blog (check out the column to the right)

Get Well Pendant Park
I love this stamp set, but rarely use it...
But when I saw this card, I had to try it...the original card did not have the embossing of the branches, but I thought it would make the card really pop! I stamped the tree in Versamark and heat embossed with some clear embossing powder on Always Artichoke...the bench is stamped in Soft Suede and the sentiment is a rub-on...some Regal Rose ribbon and a dyed silk flower finishes off the card...
These would make nice note cards, too...in different colors?...

New Baby Girl....
My husband's cousin just welcomed a little baby girl into the world and I thought I would send her a card and a small gift...
I saw a version of this card done as a holiday card on Sandi McGiver's blog-she even has a tutorial-...it was off white and had snowflakes and was absolutely stunning....definitely going to make some up for next Christmas!
I changed up the color (I used Pink Pirouhette) and switched up the snowflakes for butterflies...I painted the butterflies with some Lumiere paint to ad some shimmer and of course the card wouldn't have been complete without some pearls...the sentiment (which is hard to see in the photo is stamped in Pretty in Pink to stay with the mono-chromatic coloring...
