Orange is hot!

I've been seeing orange all over...of course it's a great summer color...this card is pretty much a direct CASE, except the original used an orange button for the center flower (which I didn't have)...I cut the petals of the flower for some texture...of course this is another Mixed Bunch card...

Father's Day...maps

I had some paper (non-SU!) left over from a school project and I had seen a card similar to the circle card done in white with traditional blue/green map paper, so I decided to try my hand at these two cards..

The top card uses the embossing folder/frame which I cut out and sponged to give it that Old World feel (Crumb Cake, River Rock, Soft Suede)...

Kisses for my hubby

Just a little note for my hubby...this stamp (S.W.A.K.) is retiring and I've always wanted it...so I splurged and I think I'll get a lot of use out of it.

Here I used Real Red, Pretty in Pink and Pink Piroheutte and just stamped all over!  Can't wait till Valentine's Day!

Wine Bridal Shower

My friend asked me to make a card for a wine-themed bridal shower in shades of purple...so here's what I came up with...you probably can't see it but I stamped on the Elegant Eggplant panel before embossing it...the ribbon strip is Perfect Plum and the card base is Very Vanilla...the wine glasses have a little Crystal Effects to make them look like they are glass....

Hearts for Dad

I saw this card done on a white base with pastel hearts...I decided to change it up to make a manly Fathers Day card...not sure I pulled it off...but its not bad...the small hearts are stamped from Itty Bitty Bits in Crumb Cake ink...

I still love this set!  Here's 2 versions of the same card...I couldn't decide between the 2 flowers...the black one is embossed with embossing powder...the More Mustard colored flower has a Very Vanilla layer behind it...the large wave piece is from Tasteful Trims...

Using the same set, Mixed Bunch, I added to my holiday card collection (it is just around the corner!)...Cherry Cobbler and Nery Vanilla make this card simple, yet gorgeous...the center of the snowflake is layered with a circle stamp and a jeweled brad...the center flag has some embossing...

Summer Smootches

Isn't this new Designer Series paper fun??  The patterns are perfect for girly cards like this Mother's Day card...I layered the flower twice to give it some dimension...the leaves are the 5 petal punch...

The photo does this card NO justice!  It is so simple and elegant...the paper is from the new Summer Smooches Designer paper from the new 2012-2013 catty...the white flower is actually embossed with white embossing powder and stamped with a flower from the Punch Bunch set...

The other day I posted my Bridal Shower card for a friend, but since 3 of my friends were also invited to the shower, I was commissioned to make all the cards...

I love the colors of this card (Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride--how appropriate! and Pear Pizzaz)...these colors are retiring, so I am sad to see them go...this stamp set is a SAB set from eons ago called Merci, but it's always my go to card for 'girly cards'...would make a great Mother's Day card!

Bridal Shower

Here's a card I made for a friend's bridal shower...I incorporated her wedding colors in the card...I covered the umbrella with punched flowers and added some rhinestones to the white flowers...it's a really simple card, but quite stunning...

...it's not fall, but I couldn't resist this card!  Trendy Trees is retiring...it is a much under-used stamp set for me because I am so adverse to pulling out the Stamp-a-majig...but it really wasn't bad at all...and the corduroy button just tops off the autumn theme!
