Christmas Dove
I'm just in love with this set, Christmas Gifts....I made this card in Whisper White and Very Vanilla, but they looked virtually the same, so I couldn't decide which one I'd like better....I love it paired with the Soft Suede, but I don;t think it;s very 'christmassy'...I stamped the pointsettia on the background piece before embossing and added a brown rhinestone...now that I look at the card, I think the dove's wings need some glitter! Off to add some Dazzling Diamonds.....

One eyed, one horned....
This is the Make-n-Take I CASED for our monthly demo meeting...isn't he just too cute? I used retired colors in this sample, but for the demos I used current colors....the mouth is just free-handed...the teeth are made from the oval punch cut in half with a pinking sheer...the tiny smile lines at the corners of his moth are made from a small hand held circle punch and the circle punch from the 3 pack of punches...then cut in 2....
this sample: Only Orange, Green Galore, Ballet Blue, Ruby Red. Whisper White, Basic Black
current colors: Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point, Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black

Simple cards...
I'm still trying to use up my retired D/S paper...doesn't it seem like I've been saying this forever?!! I needed to make some cards to fill the adorable purse that I'm making for teacher gifts, so I decided to make the super simple....I cut off an inch of the top of the white card and then used the scallop lace border punch to add some detail, then just slipped a matching piece of D/S paper to the inside for added zip! The stamped image is paper-pieced with 3 different matching prints (great use for scraps!)

Silvery Snowman
Same layout and set as the previous post....but after I embossed the Brocade Blue background piece, I sprayed it with Shimmery Ink mixed with alcohol...I was quite upset with the results (it was very streaky) so then I pulled out some Lumiere paint (very similar to Shimmery ink and retired from SU!) and mixed it the same way and sprayed on the cardstock...I liked this version better...there was more of an even spray....I also added some Lumiere paint to the snow under the snowman's foot...
I also used the Scallop Circle die and took my eyelet hole punch on the Crop-a-dile and made a hole in each scallop....

Love this Layout!
Saw this layout in one issue of our Demo only magazine, Stampin' Success, and tucked it away to use in the future...and this is what I came up with...I love the added touch of the staples....used the retired Sale-a-bration set and still using that Sweet Pea D/S paper....

Always Elegant...
Just a quickie card to try out my new stamp set, Always Elegant and the matching embossing folder...you can't see it in the photo, but before I embossed the background paper, I repeatedly stamped the main image in matching ink for a double embossed look....it's really subtle but adds a nice touch...I also added the tiniest rhinestones to the scroll image and to the flourish under the word Always...can't wait to use this set more...
I've been taking a break from stamping to work on my son's Halloween costume (he wants to be Charlie Brown so I had to make him the trademark yellow and black shirt)...and my daughter's NJ State Symbol project (don't you love kids' school projects??!!)
