Punch art without all the punching!

Here's the new owl punch!  It's soooo up my alley, since I love punch art but with this great punch you just need one punch!

I used some retired patterned paper from Sale-a-bration....

Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie (ribbon) Sahara Sand and Chocolate Chip (for owl)

More Bear-y Merry Cards!

Some more Christmas cards...I find it less overwhelming to make a few cards a week than to be stuck on December 15th having to make 60 cards+!

One card uses Designer Series patterned paper for the background, and the other one uses the Polka Dot embossing folder....but instead it embossed it first and then moved the paper slightly to the right and re-embossed (if that is even a word!)....you can see in the close up that then is a faint dot pattern and a more pronounced pattern...it's actually kind of cool close-up....

I also paper pieced the girl's dress....

Bear-y Christmas!

This new Build-a-Bear accessories stamp set is so cute!

In the boy card, I used a paw stamp (that I picked up in the dollar bin at Michael's) for the background....

the ornaments in the bears' hands have Dazzling Diamonds on them....

the trees have red glittler on the 'heart' ornaments....

I stamped the girl bear stamp on a piece of patterned paper and cut out the dress (without the neckline or the bottom trim on the dress) and then just glued that piece on top of my original stamped girl to make it look like she has a plaid dress on....

the first (blurry) shot is a close up of the girl's patten leather shoes...a thick layer of Crystal Effects makes this possible!

Ruby Red, Whisper White, Glorious Green, various markers for coloring

More bears....

Here's another version of the previous sample...I wanted to show you that I added some Crystal Effects tmake a shiny red apple....I also stamped the lunch box on a separate piee of paper and cut out and attached, but I think I liked it better when I stamped it directly onto the paper, like in the previous boy bear card....

Sage Shadow, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum

Wait till you see the Christmas Build-a-Bear cards it did with this stamp set!

Bear-y Adorable!

Here's is a sampling of the new accessory set for the Build-a-Bear line of stamps from Stampin' Up!   The apple and lunch box are too cute and the words are perfect for making some notes and cards to teachers....

The set also comes with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas accessories....

The embossed background is from the embossing plates from Sizzix....they are not as detailed as the folders, but still add a nice texture....I love the look of layering the same color embossed piece on the same color card...

First card:  Crumb Cake, Ruby Red, Marina Mist and various markers for coloring

Second Cards:  Brocade Blue, Night of Navy, Ruby Red, various markers for coloring

Rainy Day Bingo

I purchased the large background stamp, Bingo...I thought it would make a great family project...and I was right!  I stamped the bingo board in Taken with Teal, Brilliant Blue and Real Red-trimmed the sides and layered on coordinating cardstock for added stability....

Then I took the adorable images from 'Every Little Bit" and stamped them in various spots over each of the boards in Basic Black (I also stamped each image on white cardstock for the caller of Bingo)...each of my children got to pick out their own bingo board and color them however they wanted to (that's Timmy in the last photo)....

I also had my oldest punch out bingo 'chips' from retired cardstock with the 3/4 inch circle punch....

I store the game in a large clear plastic stamp case...the cards and all the chips fit perfectly!

Wait till you see what I've been working on! I got my order from the new catty and I'm not even half way through...trying everything!  I ordered dies, stamps, paper, and a ton of punches!!

Here is a sample from the new Christmas set from the Holiday mini--Jolly Old St. Nick....I just had to have this set because if this Santa image--the set also comes with another full body Santa image and a snowman image-which honestly aren't my favs, and a tiny snowflake stamp (which provides the detail on the lower half of this card...

Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Brocade Blue, Garden Green

The Garden Green label is the new extra large Decorative Label punch--LOVE IT!- and the scalloped layer along the edge of the Cherry Cobbler (which is embossed with a Cuttlebug, non-Stampin' Up! folder) is the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch--TONS OF USES!

Christmas Pine Bough Tutorial

Take a standard sized card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) and make a mask for it...3/4 inch border on all sides
Sponge on some ink inside the edge...here I used Mellow Moss and Sahara Sand

Take your main image and stamp over the mask frame and into your center
Here I used Handsome Hunter and stamped several times without re-inking...

Christmas Pine Bough Tutorial Part 2

Remove the mask and add the sentiment....

Voila!  A simple, elegant, one-layer card....

Perky Pinecones

Another sample from the Peaceful Wishes set....

I don't know if you can see it, but I actually did the Rock-n-Roll technique on the pinecones....first I dipped the stamp into Soft Suede and then rolled the edges of the stamp in Chocolate Chip....the cones are actually stamped twice and popped up with dimensionals...

Naturals White, Ruby Red, Soft Suede and Chocolate Chip

Stop by tomorrow for my first mini-tutorial!

Here's another sample from the retired 'Peaceful Wishes' set...I made a bunch of cards with this set....I used the dots from Itty Bitty Backgrounds to add the ornaments on the branch....

Simple, Peaceful Wishes

I am always very intrigues by simple, one layer cards--mostly because I can never make them...I'm always adding one more thing to make it right!  I originally saw this card done just on white cardstock, as a Christmas Thank You....here I used Mellow Moss as the card base (just to get rid of it!)...I also used my Color Spritzer Tool with the Mellow Moss marker to add some detail....

Mellow Moss, Cherry Cobbler (marker), Basic Black for lettering....

A+ Card!

Here's a sample from my friend and fellow demo, Brenda Miller...it was her Make-n-Take from our last meeting...she pleated a strip of Designer Series paper and used some sticky strip to form it into a circle for the "Award Ribbon"...

Simple Scrapbook Pages

I thought I would share some scrapbook pages...here I used the retired Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper and luckily I had a matching pink and blue sheet...added the same color mats (Mellow Moss and Barely Banana)  I also used one of those vellum word sheets and layered those with the same mat combination and embellished with some eyelets...

Swirly Ice Cream...

Did I mention that I love this ice cream set, Sweet Scoops?  It makes the perfect birthday card for all ages...here I used the Kissing Technique to make the ice cream look swirled with chocolate...included a photo if inside of card, too...

...this card was cased from fellow demo Sharon Clarke...

Are you sick of pink, yet? Girly #4

Here's the last card I designed for my daughter's dance teacher...Love those Little Leaves!  I've made this card before, just switched up the colors...Originally wanted to use the gingham ribbon, but didn't have enough, so I switched it up with the wider satin ribbon...

Girly # 3

Here's an oldie, but a goody!  I've made this card before, but here I changed it up to include pink (did I mention that my daughter's dance teacher loves pink?)  The vase is the large oval punch with just a sliver snipped off to make the base...

Retired Sale-a-bration designer series paper, Melon Mambo, Daisies #2 Big Shot die....

Ultra Girly

My daughter's dance teacher wanted some 'girly' note cards, so I obliged!  The first (of 4) is the girliest!  The Circle Circus stamp set provides the purse (I embossed with clear embossing powder)...the oval scallop punch and the large oval punch supply the handles and the Modern Label punch acts as the clasp...

Smokin' on the grill!

Here's another really cute punch art BBQ...but this time I used the Swirly Big Shot Die (the long skinny one) and punched out some vellum to double as some smoke from the juicy burger (top of the ornament punch in Really Rust)...used the 1 3/4 punch as the BBQ body and Word Window punch for the legs...

Elegant Hydrangas

Here's some watercolored hydrangas (blender pen and Classic ink) from the Hostess set 'Because I Care'...the one on the right is a bit nicer (I think) because my blender pen still had some Old Olive from coloring the leaves when I went to color the flower with Perfect Plum...I first colored the entire flower with Pale Plum and them highlighted it with some Perfect Plum....

Sweet Little Box....

Here's an adorable little (4x4) box---I should have taken I side view--it's only about an inch wide...I used the scallop square clear die and then embossed it with the Polka Dot embossing folder...the images are from the new Hostess set 'Punched Posies'...trying to come up with a use for the box (maybe Hot Cocoa packets and a Xmas theme for little gifts for neighbors or teachers)
